Today Atheros announced that the first open source Linux and FreeBSD software drivers for 802.11b/g and universal 802.11a/b/g products are now available as a free download from the Internet.
The HAL is still distributed in binary form (like Lucent's Orinoco chipset drivers). Was wondering if Atheros or Broadcom have any plans to distribute their chipset programmer's guide, like Intersil did, under NDA?
