The new thinkpad models all have pretty much the same antennas. They are patch antennas located on each side of the lcd panel... New thinkpads have bios's that only support the four supported wireless card models that IBM sells plus the cisco cards, and disable anything else put in the minipci slot, so those are pretty much your choices...
