Not to get too far afield, but I pay $0.12 (right twelve cents) per gallon for water here. Let me tell you, it makes me very conscious of saving water!

Hell, we're already too far afield. :-) 8 gallons to the penny here. :-}

I have a reverse osmosis water maker on my boat. I turn sea water into quite good drinkable water. I tell people I use only generic Dasani water on the boat.

There's a new brand of bottled water in the local Barnes & Noble's: from
*Fiji*. Anyone want to tell me why the bottles are *square*?

They fit together better in boxes. Most container ships are volume not weight limited and capacity is sold by the container, not by weight. Rectangular bottles leave little empty space. I like buying the UHT milk in the rectangular containers for the same reason. It is much more efficient to store on the boat.
