An inexpensive way is to connect a router/access point like the Linksys BEFW11S4 (802.11b 11Mbit) to your DSL modem. It will allow you to share the DSL connection among several computers. My experience with Linksys products is that you will need to reboot them occasionally. Netgear probably has a similar product and it seems they have a better reputation than Linksys. Equivalent products are available for 802.11g (54Mbit) but they are about 20% more expensive and they won't improve your Internet speed as it is limited by your DSL connection. However, the 802.11g should improve the file transfer speed between your computers.

I have a DSL connection to SBCGLOBAL and I want to add another desktop using a wireless connection. What is recommended? I am asking for advice from  people experienced in something like this.

Thanks.
