I am looking for some help in finding a good /
reliable piece of hardware for my WISP clients that will do the
following.
Allow external antenna
Allow power over Ethernet / this can be done in
shop with the original A.C. Adapter if needed.
Provide routing capabilities including NAT,
DHCP.
Have 100mw power output or better.
Have one antenna port / not
diversity.
Withstand heat and cold of outdoor
conditions.
Be in my price range of under $200 per
unit.
Basically, I have been through maxtech /
smartbridges / compex / Egenius and other client bridges and I am not
satisfied for one reason or another.
I am simply looking for a solution I can mount on
the roof with an antenna, and have a reliable link for customers to my access
points. If it does not do the routing I will deal with it provided
the other specifications are met.
I am wondering if anyone has any experience in
this kind of setup and has any bits of wisdom to pass on to me in my process
to find the perfect client end.
