Gene, Does it matter what version WAP11 you are working with? I have some WAP11 V2.6's that I'd love to make more reliable. Is there a version of the Dlink firmware you would recommend?

Linksys has crappy software (firmware) but since they follow the reference designs, hardware-wise it's not bad. Dlink usually seems to have hardware issues but their software is rock-stable. So....combine the two. My "WAP11-900+" has had a virtual 100% uptime (power outages and moving the ap to another location are the only things that take it down), previously with the original linksys firmware, it would die often and wasn't compatible with non-Linksys wifi cards. too bad I can't do the same thing with the linksys router I have.
