"I'm attempting
to get a wireless link from a house to a cottage
residence in the back of house. Inside the main house is a Netgear MR814. I get a signal from the MR814 in the cottage using a Linksys" Hi Jamie,
A few of us have been actively modifying the Linux
kernel in the WRT54G. We've added the ability to flip it in and out of client
mode as well as SSH, telnet, and a few other utilities.
The device supports WDS and appears to
support wireless ethernet bridging. I think your best bet might be to use
WDS or wireless ethernet bridging via the WRT54G in place of the
DWL-810.
See http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WRT54G/ for
more info.
