They did? Hmmm...must be the Iraqi "information" minister...

Hell....Dlink stuff is alot better than Linksys (from personal experience); my linksys wap11 didn't work right until I made it think it wasn't linksys..hehehe

anyways, on to your question......it could be the notebook....since the antenna is internal and performance can be affected by the human body (a hand or if your body is in the way...). Don't forget to double check the router's and the notebook's settings to disable power saving mode for the wireless.

Also...it's always best to isolate the issue by using a regular wireless nic preferrable with an external antenna connector and stand-alone AP as well.

Hi,
I am new to wireless and sorrily have purchased a DI-614+ before reading the archives here. I have a notebook with Centrino chipset(internal wireless 802.11b) Someone here has said the d-link router was a weak choice to start with but I had already done so. I can't get more then 40 yards of connectivity outdoors and line of site. Does any one know if the problem is inherent to the centrino based PCs or the D-link AP
Regards to all
