"Has anybody looked at creating a meshing firmware? "   We've been looking at doing this but it would require a clean slate from the current source base. If there is enough interest to start this project I will support it. It would mean porting AODV, adding a VPN (like vtun), and putting together the background daemon(s) to run this properly but I'm all for it.   Infrastructure mode now works on the WRT54G. See www.seattlewireless.com/index.cgi/LinksysWrt54g and search the page for "infrastructure mode" - so a mesh is now do'able.   James Ewing Sveasoft AB
