Heh. I agree the best thing for you to do is probably run Kismet or Netstumbler at the client end. When you do that, make sure you use the same type of radio the clients have or better yet, use the client's adapter. If you're using a commercial AP, try disconnecting the antenna from it briefly during an off peak time and use your laptop instead to see what's going on at the AP side. I don't think Netstumbler can see clients though, only the AP. You'd probably have to use Kismet for that.
