This would be difficult, since IEEE 802.11b wasn't ratified until 1999, but I get your drift. :-)

I remember dealing with a Jim Thomson from wayport back in early 2000 from the Windom hotel in Tampa.

Gee, don't know. I've had 'WiFi' in my home since Feb 1998 for a Aironet AP4500 with a (pre-standard) 4800 card inside.
