I was thinking about getting like 5 DCS-2100+ wireless cameras and another 5 hardwired DCS-2000 ethernet cameras to monitor our property here to supplement what we already have (we might do a bit less than 10 cameras if angle is wide enough). Our lease runs out on the other equipment in 2 years, so we don't want to add anything on that bill and extend our contract. Also our budget is tight for this. We need to record all of those feeds, since we do get some idiots acting stupid in our courtyards of our condo association (plus I will have APs mounted on light poles, so I want to monitor that too). Has anyone used these cameras in that kind of capacity? How are they in darker environments? Have you seen outdoor cases for these? How is the recording and archiving of video, is it easy to use and reliable?
Any other suggestions for IP camera with recording and archiving software for under $250 per piece?
