FYI, a few people have been continuing to hack away at the Proxim 8571 we took apart here http://socalfreenet.org/proxim8571. The comments attached to that page have the details, but recent progress includes finding a serial port on the board and, with the help of a TTL to RS-232 converter chip, watching the boot info go by. Next step is to try and install mips Linux...
