Smaller cable generally has higher loss, so for long runs, you don't want to
use LMR-100.

But, connectors have loss too (and that can get worse if they come unseated
or water gets in), so you want to minimize the number of connectors.

At 60", I'd reduce the number of connectors and stick with the single cable.

At 60', I'd pay the price in connectors to get lower loss on most of the
run.

Convert to metric as necessary.
