Hello everyone,
I have am new to this group. I would like to connect to printer the my wireless network so I can print from my laptop anywhere in my house. Are there any reasonably inexpensive solutions to this problem. I have seen some hardware at the office supply stores for a wireless connection with a parallel cable for around $150. Since my wireless router only set me back $20 I find it hard to swallow. Any Ideas?
Stand alone wireless print servers are (IMHO) one of the great rip-offs.
I got a Hawking brand wired print server from Fry's for $50, wired it to a spare port on the router and installed the software on my laptop.
If you have any desktops on your home network, hook the printer to it and share if from that system.
