Don't run the radio's over the 36Mb/s rate, turns out they are processor
limited to perform _worse_ at higher modulation rates. They seem to have
trouble with signals that are too strong, make sure you use the latest
firmware.. It's a good price for an OFDM radio, but a little disappointing
from a performance perspective, also a drag to use with customers since they
don't come in any kind of outdoor enclosure, and who wants long cable runs
at 5.8ghz? so you end up hacking together some kinda outdoor box, and now
you have to deal with power.. yuck! In the end, Trango, Axxcelera, and
Alvarion (in order of price and performance (increasing)) seem like better
choices for this band.. (or go with a soekris or wrap board with a 5004x
chipset for cutting edge performance if you like to hack a bit..) Anyone
else have a different read?
