Hi Mike,

You got the hostap driver from http://hostap.epitest.fi/releases/ right?
It compiled and installed, yes?

After installing hostap_cs you have to edit a file in /etc/pcmcia.

Do a "cardctl ident" to get the manufacturer ID of the card, mine is:

manfid: 0xd601, 0x0005

And the file I had to edit was /etc/pcmcia/wlan-ng.conf (because I have
wlan-ng from http://www.linux-wlan.org/ but yours may be a different .conf file,
dig around).

Restart pcmcia services with /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia restart.

Insert the card. You should see "hostap_cs" when you do lsmod.

>From there you do, "iwconfig wlan0 mode master"
