I'd be interested, too.  Any chance of getting help setting up a 
node/repeater for extending SFLAN coverage to my neighborhood?  I 
tried sending a message to the SFLAN folks a few weeks back but got 
no reply.  If so, I'll post what hardware I already have and ask for 
recommendations for what else I need to purchase.
