I don't think I'd use it for an inline splice personally. The Bulkhead Nut looks identicle to the Nut for the other type of Ethernet connectors that are standard for Rootennas. (The ones the cable just goes through and rubbers around it.). They are NOT the same NUT! IF you get the NUTs confused, it strips, and when you go to turn tighted the Bulk head nut, it slips and rotates.
