Ola,
Has anyone tried running Mikrotik on a Via CoreFussion based SBC
yet? I know people have had issues with Via boards in the past but I was
hoping all the bugs are ironed out now. There is one board that I'm thinking
of trying which has the Luke 533MHz, 256M onboard memory, CF slot, dual
Ethernet and single mini-pci (not a nano-itx board).
Looking for a board that can run a single Atheros card with N-streme
in none turbo mode with no CPU limitation. It also needs to survive up a
tower in a waterproof enclosure with no external cooling/heating.
The RB532's can do this until you test with packets smaller than
600bytes. Our average packet size seems to be between 100-150bytes which
drops the throughput on a RB532 down to between 10-15Mb.
I know this has been discussed many times before but technology
keeps changing so it's an ongoing discussion ;o)
Cheers,
P.
