Here is some information about our new WISPA member: Clarity Connect, Inc. started in 1995, like most of us with dialup only, but quickly added other connection options such as frame relay and dedicated T1s. Looking for ways to compete against a local telephone company, we started offering dsl commercially in August of 1996 (probably one of the first ISPs in the US to do so). We added our first wireless customer in late 1997 but didn't get serious with wireless until a couple of years ago. We now offer wireless services in southern central upstate NY and northern PA. Though this glacially abused terrain is difficult to cover well, we are currently a moderate sized WISP with about 1000 wireless customers. I'm quite impressed with the knowledge of our WISPA general list members, and can see I've got a lot to learn here. I'm even more impressed with the dedication of the leadership that numerous people provide in the organization. I look forward to investing in WISPA to aid both our growth and the success of our industry.
