I know I am WAY past my posting limit today.
As long as we are talking about burdens let's quickly discuss the libraries and
schools. These are the 2 groups that are in court fighting CALEA.
I spoke with a guy Friday who is head of computer security for a state college
who did not even know that he needed to be compliant. The $100k box would
burden most college budgets.
You don't think this is a burden for schools, hotels, colleges, and libraries?
Huge burden. And they have been fighting it for almost 2 years.
