I guess what I'm saying, is that you'll find a lot of stuff out there that's not certified because "certified" is for the most part lacking most of the what's required to build a fully functional network.
I've noticed some people are working on certifying MT and Star-OS and other stuff built out of commodity equipment, and that's great... But the writers of software aren't really responsible for the RF part, and the people that build the RF part have never been interested in certification, because there at least historically, been no means of doing so.
