What type of antenna?
Take precautions to Prevent it from building up, if possible.
1) Use a Flat shelf above the antenna, to prevent fallout on antenna
2) Use integrated antenna/radio that has a Heater built-in.
3) Use a Radome or Tube covering, to minimize build-up on reflective
elements themselves. This could help with Yagis for example.
Could always design a radiant heat system, for it. (Pump hot water up to it
with PEC tubing).
For example if a parabolic had a radome, and the Tubs was attached around
the back of a parabolic, heat would radiate inside and Radome would trap it
in, and cause ice to melt.
Not that I ever saw it done, just thought it could work.
Sounds like Jack's idea (skiwax) would be easier :-)

Mark,
Putting ski wax on the antennas is supposed to inhibit ice from forming
and/or sticking.

dealing with ice is a new thing for me.
How do you all clear the ice off?
...and perhaps heat the antennas for preventing this in the winter
months???
Thanks in advance...
