I'm looking at getting a telescoping mast to check for signals. It sure would
be nice to know just how high I have to go to get good signal vs. knowing that
7' - 8' (where is as tall as I can hold the antenna) isn't enough.

If I'm next to a house, no big deal... someone stands at the base (I think I
saw a steak mount) while someone else stands on the roof to steady. How would
I steady it in the middle of nowhere... i.e.: checking to see how I could
steady it when I'm checking signal in some experiments\long term production use.

I do have access to flatbed trailers I could guy to the pockets... not for
transport, though, just stationary testing.
