We had several Packeteer boxes years ago. Fantastic product and IMO (and first hand testing at the time) was far and away the best bandwidth management device available. I have no reason not to believe the Packeteer is still the finest bandwidth management device available today.
We moved away from Packeteer to the MikroTik platform for a variety of reasons. I do miss many of the Packeteer features, but in reality the MikroTik does everything (and more) that we need for bandwidth management. A MikroTik router is a fraction of the price and provides us a very powerful CPE router that we put behind every data circuit we deploy. For the money you just can't go wrong with MikroTik. That said, IMHO, when I used Mikrotik it was way easier to do this with, and way better to look at on-screen. I can give you a quickie on how it works. Jim 314-565-6863 Jake VanDewater wrote: > I'm looking for a bandwidth management box to set individual IP addresses > for several subscribers.
