Steel strap iron or Unistrut. Unistrut has lots of brackets and fasteners but would not look as nice IMHO as a custom made strap steel unit. You could always buy the 36 incher and have someone extend it. Yes, it will lose some galvanizing but gray/silver paint will make up for the loss.
