In many ways, Mikrotik can do some of the same thing. It's a matter of proper design in both wireless configuration and firewall (even on the bridge). Much of this functionality can be configured using various tunneling technologies in MT as well. Most of the real work in MT is left to the administrator in terms of proper configuration and design. To me, adding some little bit of complexity is a good tradeoff for configurability (two words that are almost always mutually exclusive in the gear we all use). The specific featureset you mention looks very complete. What is the cost on an AP? Is it standard 802.11a/b/g clients? I am always looking for good solutions like this. -- ******************************************************************** *Butch Evans *Professional Network Consultation * *Network Engineering *MikroTik RouterOS * *573-276-2879 *ImageStream * *http://www.butchevans.com/ *StarOS and MORE * *http://blog.butchevans.com/ *Wired or wireless Networks * *Mikrotik Certified Consultant *Professional Technical Trainer * ******************************************************************** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WISPA Wants You!
