Have you considered serial extenders? Then you can centrally monitor them all?

I'm planning to upgrade from a 30 to 60 amp solar controller soon on one of our sites when we add more panels / batteries. This time I'd like to make sure I get a good, remotely-monitorable (is that a word?) unit. Any recommendations? Morningstar Tristar 60 looks good, but I'm not sure yet if the serial console will actually work with anything other than their windows software. I'd like to be able to hook this up to a mikrotik or cisco serial port to remotely monitor amps in / out, etc. Thanks! -- Randy Cosby Vice President InfoWest, Inc office: 435-773-6071 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- WISPA Wants You!
