Should only need to be set if the run is over 328' or 100m ie longer then
Ethernet is supporting.

There used to be a long-wire setting in the RouterOS under 
Interface->Ehternet.  I do not remember if it is still there or not.  It 
should be set if the wire is over 100' or so.
