So, if this cycle is coming out on its own, what can we do to stand 
behind those who voted that the "stimulus" is not a good idea and to 
leave things alone.  I'm having mixed feelings / personal gut checks on 
this.  Do I say, "leave us alone, just let this all work out and we'll 
figure a way out of it," while the next minute say, "hmmm... how can I 
get my hands on some of that stimulus money?"  Or, "if I don't get it, 
the telcos and cable companies will"?

It brings to mind some of those of a "greater" generation who would not 
even accept their social security payments, based on the principal of 
the thing.  When our great-grandkids look back at us, which decisions at 
this time will make them proud of us, in awe?  Probably won't be the 
easy ones...

Perhaps this is a discussion to have on the [email protected] list?
