I had the issue myself with loosing default routes using OSPF. The issue happened between 3.x routers and 2.9 routers. When I updated all to 3.11 the problem went away just as MT told me it would. If you look through the changelog you will find a pile of OSPF fixes in 3.x. I am running 3.20 fireware 2.19 now and not having any issues. I would try updating to 3.20.
