I agree that sectors are *often* much better than omnis.  But be careful....

Also, should have brought this up sooner.  Hi gain omni antennas suck swamp 
water.  I only have ONE that's 10dB.  NON that are higher.  Usually I use 
8dB omni's, even then I almost always put electrical downtilt on them (you 
buy them with it).

I'll second Marlon.  Sectorize your access points.  3 120° units will
lower your noise floor by 1/3 (assuming all your noise is equal
directionally).  This also allows for more bandwidth.
