Used a Praxsym just last weekend. Had an AP lose half of its signal over night. Put the Praxsym between the radio and the antenna. Forward power> 23dB, not the radio. SWR> >6, should have been 1.5. Put up a new antenna and moved on down the road. Took more time to replace the omni than figure out it was the problem.
