Even if you use an anonymizer or a public vpn tunnel (different names  
for the same thing) you will just have their ip address and you'll get  
location specific info for their area.

I live in Venezuela and my google searches keep going to google.co.ve  
(which prioritizes sites in Spanish which I can read buy usually are  
not the results I'm looking for) and I keep steering it back to  
google.com. But when I clear my browser and go back to google I'm back  
at google.co.ve again.

These companies think they're being helpful and for most people it  
probably is.
