It's been mentioned before that some Mikrotik Routerboards will go into
over-voltage protection mode around 28 volts, making life difficult on
solar systems that may go over 28V when doing a battery equalization.
Has anyone had any experience with a voltage regulator that will keep
the voltage fairly constant (say at 24V) with a varying input (say 18-30
volts) to take care of such a problem? Solarconverters make a
"flyback" unit, the FB24-1 that will output a constant 24v, but the
input range is a little too narrow for my liking, 22v - 30v.

thanks,
