No transmission line will work that is larher than 5/8 " in diameter. Don't
waste your time pulling 1 1/4". It won't work

Want the same results as 1 1/4" heliax? Disconnect the cable from the radio.

There ya go. 1 1/a" results without the work or expense!

Thats what I was afraid of. I went back and did my own math and I didn't see
how 5.8 would traverse the 7/8 correctly. Yet I would still think the spectrum
analysis would pick something up, even if it was trash. Therefore I was
questioning the ODU.

So basicaly, 5.8 must have a solid core. I did find several sites (not
manufacture sites), that showed 1-1/4 heliax would work. Hmmm... I think I got
some of that.

The cut off frequency for 7/8 heliax is so low that the 5.8ghz wave can not
operate on the large of a cable.

You should have got 5/8 Heliax as it is the largest coax you can use and
still pass 5.8ghz. Here is the spec sheet for the 5/8

I have switch out a Alvarion B14 with a new B14. In the process we lowered
the ODU 150' for accessibility issues (this is a difficult tower to climb).
So we have dish still in the same place, but trying to 7/8" Heliax between
the dish and the unit.

No Link.

Using the "Spectrum Analyzer" function on the GUI, we see no signs of life
anywhere. Could this be a 7/8" Heliax issue, or DOA?
