I guessed right on the J2 connector. One thing I did was set the card power to manual and lower it to 17db I guess for testing & programming I could have went down to 5 db or so. I also had an antenna connected to it.
I have always powered up cards with out antennas on them but I use mostly cm9's. I think it would be a good idea to find some dummy loads or get some small "rubber duck" antennas to use when powering up.
