I taped mine too, they say they're good as is but it's my old kind of thinking.
Oh, I made a mistake when putting the radio on the antenna for the first time.... It will actually go on upside down. Found that out right away! And boy, hard as heck to get back off to turn the right way around. It's almost the RooTena of sectors. Now some smart guy - as in not me - needs to come up with an aftermarket kit that snaps on that rocket mount so that the MT alumni can easily add a 411 or other board to it.
