Exactly. Now look at the most recent scuffle between Time Warner and Fox. Fox wants more cash or they will yank the channels from Time Warner. Lots of posturing and at the midnight hour, it will all make friends and settle for a different number.
Now fast forward 10 years. Most video content is being delivered not by cable but over the internet. The most popular internet channel, who knows, cats vs. dogs or something equally as stupid, they decide that if a provider wants to carry their stream they have to pay X amount of cash per total amount of users on the providers network. No cash, you have to filter it or whatever. You baulk, they pull it. Your customers yell and scream and move over to another provider who is now advertising that he carries the stupid stream. What do you do? But I see that as being real not long into the future unless it's headed off before it happens. I just have to find what representative I need to slip my 5 bucks to in order to get something added to some future internet legislation. All it takes is a line in some bill that has no cash meaning to anyone yet. No one there to lobby against it yet. At least that's the way I see it. But then again I see a lot of things, most of them aren't real however.
