No. We use 802.16d, which is optimized for fixed wireless, and 802.16d does not support MIMO. MIMO would be nice, but we do not think it is worth the extra cost in the WiMAX system. As it is we get excellent range. Last week one of our engineers was in a major CA city with a customer and pulled 16 mbps stable over 13 km in a 7 MHz channel. The capacity (link permitting) is up to 20 mbps and I have seen it at those ranges.
