A "rite of passage" at my house as a lad was to hang from the sill of the second story window on the side of the garage and drop. The garage had a second story floor with a ladder in a closet leading to what we called the "clubhouse."
Today, neighbor parents would sue for endangering their kids. I come from a family of seven kids. My mother usually drove a station wagon. I carry images of unbridled children bouncing around and yelling. The smallest always stood next to mom with an arm around her shoulders. Bench seats and NO seat belts graced every family auto. By today's standards, my mom could be charged with child abuse. Sorry for the blatant hijack but this thread began on a whimsical note. The Google Flag is awesome.
