We need two or three Members (or future Members) to serve as panelists
at our July 21-22 Regional Meeting on one or both of the Tower
Technology panels.
The first Tower Technology panel on July 21 will cover the physical side
of tower building including site selection, tower selection, tower
grounding techniques, tower climbing and safety, tower erection, guying
and maintenance, etc.
The second Tower Technology panel on July 21 will cover tower wireless
design including access point and antenna selection, wireless equipment
placement (putting the AP on the ground or up on the tower), powering
the equipment, backup power systems, antenna placement, polarity and
mounting, equipment grounding, lightning protection, etc.
We need panelists who are willing to share what they've learned.
Please reply either on-list or off to let me know that you're interested
or if you have suggestions for additional topics to include in these
panels.
