We got hit on one of our NOCs with about 6 radios on the tower. Every single radio was fried. Our problem I think is that it's a limestone (caliche or white marl) hill. How well can you ground in a situation like that? Or does it not matter? We had all our POE's properly grounded, but did not run separate ground from the radios as they were all Tranzeo with metal back plate, metal mount, mounted directly on the legs of the tower. The tower has a grounding rod at the bottom, but it goes directly into the limestone. Any suggestions?
