As we seek to develop a better State presence with regards to building relationships with State and Local governments, explore peering opportunities with neighboring WISPs, discussing State legislation and other State-centric opportunities and concerns, WISPA is looking for volunteers to assist in the coordination and facilitation of these state programs. Duties of this person would be:
1. Assist in the moderation of the [[email protected] listserv. 2. Build subscription of this listserv by inviting [state] wisps to participate. 3. Help build WISPA membership 4. Reach out to University Faculty and State Government officials who have a responsibility to the State's Broadband Industry promotion and invite their participation on the [[email protected] listserv. 5. Alert the ED or Board of WISPA on any concerning State Legislation that should be put on our radar for monitoring. 6. Organize "Meet and Greet" regional or statewide meetings with other WISPs 7. Assist the ED in providing accurate information on the WISPA State Resources webpages. Please email me offlist if you are interested in assisting.
