Netgear's layer3 is good but not that good. Are you able to throw a router in the mix for them ? might actually make things easier -
check out pfsense on an alix board - cost will be under $300 for a simple system that you can brand w/ your own logo. There is also microtik as well Personally I have found the layer3 w/ netgear to be okay - but it is not Top notch - and to get their help heck it will cost you more than another solution for the phone call.
