Yep. An afterthought hardware workaround. Thought the same thing but messy. Would be slick to redirect the energy with a click of the mouse through the firmware. Was suggested early on during the beta tests but was dismissed by those who were blinded by the glory. It just makes logical sense to be able to easily switch off a chain. Crazy, man. Just crazy......
