You can get some cool power supplies for car based pc's at MP3car.com. They connect directly to 12V DC and have an ignition timer that puts the PC's into hibernate mode 10 seconds after the ignition is shut off. I use one on a mini-itx box in my truck to run my entertainment system...HD radio, DVD player, and much more from the PC. I also have two of these... http://www.fit-pc.com/web/ that I play around with, but of course they won't auto hibernate so you'd have to shut them off manually. They are neat little machines though with built in wireless, ethernet, 6 usb ports, and hdmi output.
