That's why I mentioned that Microsoft Live Domains are like that, not Google Apps. Microsoft is mimicking what Google has done prior to 2008, and that's why I suggest using Microsoft instead of Google. As Google once taught to Microsoft, free (as in free beer) is an unbeatable price.
If an ISP is willing to pay, I would strongly suggest Hosted Zimbra services. Get a quote from Google Apps as well, but Zimbra offers way more upselling oportunities to offset the baseline cost.
