a thought....
See if your Switches you are using have a RPS (redundant power supply) option available.. Which would mean that they also have a RPS connector on the back (it is typically a funky looking molex connector).

If this is there (HP / Cisco / Dell etc have such options). then chances are you can run them directly off DC power via the appropriate dc power via the RPS connectors.

finding all devices that run directly off DC power tends to be the biggest challenge, being creative can be fun.. Converting power tends to be rather in-efficient .. and generate unnecessary heat.....in case you get into a corner, keep in mind that a lot of the mikrotik routers can be used as l3 managed switches..
